KUALA LUMPUR (April 21): There were 95 positive Covid-19 cases detected among Malaysians who have returned from abroad, according to the Ministry of Health.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a statement that 12,160 Malaysians have been quarantined with 7,910 samples collected in the two weeks since April 3.
He said this group has led to an increase of Covid-19 cases reported in the states where they have been quarantined.
Thus, there has been an increase of 37 cases in Melaka, 32 cases in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, three cases in Sarawak and Johor respectively, and two cases in Selangor.
All of the patients with positive cases have been isolated and given treatment.

Malaysia’s daily infections rose to 57, exceeding the number of daily recoveries, which is 54.
This brings the total infections in the country to 5,482 cases, of which 2,041 are active cases.
Meanwhile, the death toll now stands at 92, after three more fatalities were reported.
