KUALA LUMPUR (March 29): Artroniq Bhd (previously known as Plastrade Technology Bhd) has been slapped with an unusual market activity (UMA) query by Bursa Malaysia over a sharp rise in its share price and trading volume on Tuesday (March 29). 

The counter opened half a sen or 0.9% higher at 55.5 sen and later surged to hit an intraday high of 61 sen.

At the noon break, the stock closed five sen or 9.09% higher at 60 sen, valuing the group at RM187.52 million.

It saw a total of 5.8 million shares changing hands. 

In a bourse filing, Bursa said Artroniq investors are advised to take note of the company’s reply to the UMA query when making their investment decision. 

Bursa also requested that the company disclose any corporate development, rumour or report concerning the business and affairs of the group, and any other possible reasons, that may account for the UMA.

Meanwhile, the regulator also asked whether the group is in compliance with the Bursa Securities Listing Requirements (LRs), in particular Paragraph 9.03 of the Bursa Securities LRs on immediate disclosure obligations.

According to the group’s website, Artroniq is an investment holding company which focuses primarily on the information and technology (ICT) industry through the provision of cutting-edge and ICT products.
