KUALA LUMPUR (March 17): Construction outfit Lebtech Bhd has secured a RM29.53 million construction contract for a project in Section U13, Shah Alam, Selangor.

The group’s wholly owned subsidiary Lebtech Construction Sdn Bhd received the 20-month contract from Brighton Land Sdn Bhd on March 14.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the group for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2023 (FY2023), FY2024 and FY2025,” Lebtech said in its Bursa Malaysia filing on Friday (March 17).

For FY2022, Lebtech posted a lower net profit of RM74,000 versus RM326,000 a year prior, following a 23.4% drop in revenue to RM20.17 million from RM26.33 million.

Lebtech’s largest shareholder is the group’s director Datuk Noor Azman @ Noor Hizam Mohd Nurdin, who holds a direct 21.55% stake and an indirect 32.42% in the company.

Shares in Lebtech ended unchanged at 75 sen on Friday, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM102.36 million.
