KUALA LUMPUR (March 23): The soon-to-retire governor of Bank Negara Malaysia has dismissed the possibility that her term will be extended, saying she plans to write a book after her retirement next month.
"All preparations have been made...the bank’s governor committee has already assessed the candidates and submitted [their choice] for approval. And I have plans to write a book [after my retirement]," said Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz today.
Zeti said this when asked if she would consider extending her term, which will be ending in 38 days, during a briefing on the release of the central bank's 2015 annual report.
However, she was coy about what she will be writing on.
"Wait and see," she answered cryptically.
