KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 12):  Widad Group Bhd saw 2.47% of its shares traded off-market today.

According to Bloomberg, one block of 60.61 million shares was traded at 11.07am.

The shares were traded at 49.5 sen apiece, valuing the total stake at RM30 million. This represents a discount of five sen or 9.17% from its closing price of 54.5 sen.

The identities of those involved in the trade are currently unknown.

The group’s largest shareholder is Widad Business Group Sdn Bhd which controls 61.41%, followed by Muhammad Ikmal Opat Abdullah who holds a 2.01% stake.

Widad Group’s shares closed unchanged at 54.5 sen today, giving it a market capitalisation of RM1.34 billion. The counter saw 11.65 million shares traded.
