TANAH RATA (Jan 26): At 6.52pm, Malaysiakini has reported that BN's Ramli Mohd Noor has won the Cameron Highlands by-election according to unofficial results.

Malaysiakini made the call based on the assumption that Ramli has an insurmountable lead after garnering more than 50 percent of the votes with 11,320 votes. Malaysiakini had based its calculations on an estimated turnout of 70 percent.

At 4pm, the Election Commission had announced that voter turnout was 68 percent.
