KUALA LUMPUR: Gamuda Bhd said hearing of a suit filed by Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) against its subsidiary for non-payment of bills has been adjourned to Jan 8 next year.

This adjournment was made yesterday pending settlement negotiations between the parties, Gamuda said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday. In the suit filed in March last year, TNB claimed Gamuda’s 80%-owned subsidiary Gamuda Water Sdn Bhd had failed to settle payment of four electricity bills totalling RM39.51 million.

Gamuda’s shares closed unchanged at RM2.33 yesterday with a market capitalisation of RM5.75 billion.
