KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 28): Tex Cycle (M) Bhd said the commencement of feed-in-tariff for its renewable electrical energy power plant in Selangor has been delayed once again.

This is because the group is still waiting for the initial operation date (IOD) from the relevant authorities, the group said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

Tex Cycle had received the greenlight from the Sustainable Energy Development Authority Malaysia (SEDA) to build and operate the power plant, which will have a capacity to supply two megawatt per hour of electricity to Tenaga Nasional Bhd.

In August 2016, the group announced that it has received approval for the commencement of the feed-in tariff.

The IOD was initially set for Dec 7, 2017, with the commencement of the feed-in tariff on Jan 28, 2018. Subsequently the IOD was pushed to Dec 7, 2018, and the commencement of the feed-in tariff to Jan 21, 2019.

Shares in Tex Cycle were last traded at 54 sen apiece – giving the group a market capitalisation of RM138.34 million.
