KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 7): Shares of Supermax Corp Bhd slipped further by as much as 5.94% today, which is the last date of lodgement for its one-for-one bonus issue.

At 3.42pm, the counter was still down 5.52% or 53 sen at RM9.07 after pairing some of its losses, with 10.46 million shares traded. At this price, the group is valued at RM24.68 billion.

The counter was among the top losers on Bursa Malaysia.

Supermax’s warrants were also among the top losers today, with SUPERMX-C80 down 92 sen or 7.52% at RM11.32, followed by SUPERMX-C83 (down 90 sen) and SUPERMX-C84 (down 75 sen).

On July 20, Supermax had proposed a bonus share issue of one share for every existing share held, totalling up to 1.36 billion shares.

The group announced later that its securities will be traded and quoted ex-bonus issue from Sept 4, while today is the last date of lodgment.
