Superlon Holdings Bhd (+ve)

SHARES in Superlon Holdings Bhd (fundamental: 3/3, valuation: 2.1/3) rose as much as 7.98% to its intraday high of RM2.57 before paring gains to close unchanged at RM2.38, with 2.66 million shares traded.

In comparison, it saw an average of only 237,389 shares traded in the last 200 days.

The thermal insulation materials maker announced on Tuesday that its net profit jumped 56.7% to RM6.05 million in the first quarter ended July 31, 2016, from RM3.86 million a year ago, due to favourable exchange rate movements, higher margins from growth in sales volume and lower material costs.

Revenue gained 15.92% to RM25.63 million from RM22.11 million.

The stock currently trades at a trailing 12-month price-earnings ratio of 11.34 times and 2.02 times book value. Superlon has a trailing 12-month dividend yield of 3.99%.
