Cab Cakaran Corp Bhd (+ve)
SHARES in Cab Cakaran Corp Bhd (fundamental: 1.1/3, valuation: 1.5/3), which triggered our Stocks with Momentum algorithm yesterday for the first time this year, closed 11.31% or 19 sen higher at RM1.87.

The counter saw 3.13 million shares traded, versus its 200-day average of 128,089 shares.

Cab Cakaran’s core businesses include poultry farming, processing of chicken and marine products. It also operates a fast-food chain called Kyros Kebab.

The integrated poultry producer is expecting to see a further growth of at least 20% in its current year’s revenue after reporting a record-high turnover of RM1.1 billion in the previous year.

For its first quarter ended Dec 31, 2016, it registered a net profit of RM7.73 million against a loss of RM4.54 million a year ago, as revenue grew 38% to RM349.5 million from RM253.7 million on higher sales from its integrated poultry farming and processing division, as well as its value-added food products, manufacturing and trading division.

Cab Cakaran is currently trading at 1.3 times its net book value.
