AirAsia X Bhd (+ve)

AirAsia X Bhd shares (fundamental:0.20/3, valuation:0/3) were actively traded again yesterday with 127.44 million shares changing hands, compared to its 200-day average volume of 21.29 million shares. It was the second most traded counter on Bursa Malaysia yesterday.

At the closing, its share price remained unchanged at 34.5 sen, after it hit an intraday high of 36.5 sen.

Last week, the low-cost carrier announced to Bursa Malaysia that it had been appointed by Asian Aviation Centre of Excellence Sdn Bhd (AACE) to provide instruction services through qualified pilots, personnel and instructors for pilot ground and simulator training or checking services to AACE’s customers.

The estimated contract value was US$102,350 (RM399,165). The agreement will be in full force for an initial period of five years and will be renewed for an additional one year upon agreement. This was a related-party transaction as AACE, which involves in operating an aviation academy, is jointly owned by CAE International Holdings Ltd and AirAsia Bhd.
