SINGAPORE (Dec 31): Singapore’s benchmark Straits Times Index closed little changed on Thursday in a session that was truncated ahead of a holiday for the New Year’s Day.
The STI closed 3.72 points, or 0.1% higher, at 2,889.23 amid low volumes.
A total of 612.6 million shares worth $373.2 million were traded on Thursday.
The closing level on the final day of trading in 2015 represents a 14.1% loss in the year as the local economy slowed and trade contracted.
Trading will resume on January 4.
