<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Education Minister Mazlee Malik, in a response to a question posed by Wong Kah Wong (Ipoh Timur-PH), said that from January to September 2019, some RM475.6 million entered SSPN-i as deposits, from RM400.7 million in the same period in 2018 and RM263.3 million in 2017.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>He added that the National Higher Education Fund Corp (PTPTN) launched the SSPN-i Plus scheme in 2015.</p></div><div class=inPageAd id=div-gpt-ad-inpage></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>From January to September this year, deposits in SSPN-i Plus have increased to RM106 million, from RM86 million in the same period last year and RM31.6 million in 2017.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>"Currently, investment instruments that PTPTN invests in are short and medium term investments in the local financial market only," the minister responded.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Mazlee added that based on current deposits, PTPTN would be able to give a dividend of 4% a year, which is consistent with the funds deposits for the last five years.</p></div>
