KUALA LUMPUR (April 8): Samaiden Group Bhd’s share price rose close to 7% in morning trade today after the solar-power specialist yesterday proposed a bonus issue of 105 million warrants on the basis of one warrant for every two existing shares held.

Samaiden also proposed the establishment of a share issuance scheme of up to 10% of the total number of Samaiden shares in issue for eligible directors and employees of the company and its subsidiaries.

The counter rose as much as 6.98% or 12 sen to RM1.84 this morning.  

At 9.42am, Samaiden’s share price was six sen or 3.49% higher at RM1.78, among Bursa Malaysia's top gainers.

The counter had seen 3.98 million shares change hands so far today.
