KUALA LUMPUR (July 6): Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd was retail investors’ top net buy stock on Bursa Malaysia last week as the group of investors remained the largest net buyer of Malaysian equities for the fifth consecutive week, according to CGS-CIMB Securities Sdn Bhd today.

In a note today, CGS-CIMB analyst Ivy Ng Lee Fang said retail investors’ net purchase of engineering solutions provider Serba Dinamik shares was valued at RM109.6 million for the week ended Friday (July 2).

"Retail investors remained the largest net buyers for the fifth consecutive week. However, they reduced their net buy flows by 47% to RM311 million of equities. They were the largest net buyers of energy and utilities (shares).

"Retail investors’ top three net buy companies last week were Serba Dinamik, Tenaga (Nasional Bhd) and Public Bank (Bhd),” Ng said.

According to her, retail investors’ net purchases of Tenaga and Public Bank shares were valued at RM64.5 million and RM46.6 million respectively.

Meanwhile, retail investors' top net sell stock on Bursa last week was CIMB Group Holdings Bhd, followed by Saudee Group Bhd, Pertama Digital Bhd and VS Industry Bhd, Ng said.

She said retail investors’ net sale value of CIMB and Saudee shares stood at RM21.5 million and RM15.2 million respectively.

Retail investors’ net disposal of Pertama and VS shares were each valued at RM9.2 million, according to her.

Today, Serba Dinamik was Bursa’s most-active stock, with some 784 million shares traded.

At the bourse's 12:30pm break, Serba Dinamik’s share price settled up 2.5 sen or 5.15% at 51 sen for a market value of about RM1.89 billion based on its 3.71 billion issued shares.
