KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 8): Seacera Group Bhd and its joint venture (JV) partners comprising certain China contractors has been prequalified to bid for the proposed Warisan Merdeka project.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, Seacera said the JV is invited to participate in the tendering process to bid for works related to the construction of the tower structure of Warisan Merdeka, comprising a reinforced raft foundation, concrete core walls and mega columns, inclusive of multi story basement car park and also responsible for management of nominated subcontractors.

Seacera, a ceramic tiles manufacturer, had in June entered into a memorandum of understanding with China engineering giant Sinohydro Corporation Ltd, Shanghai Construction Group Co Ltd and SPAZ Sdn Bhd, to form a JV to bid for the construction packages of the said project, which is owned by Permodalan Nasional Bhd.
