KUALA LUMPUR (April 29): Teh Chee Hoe, former chief executive officer (CEO) of the now delisted Scan Associates Bhd, has surfaced as a new substantial shareholder of Green Packet Bhd with a 14.33% direct stake.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Friday (April 29), Green Packet said Teh has subscribed 200 million placement shares in the company.

Interestingly, the name of the registered holder of this block of shares is “Hong Seng Capital Sdn Bhd pledged securities account for Teh Chee Hoe”.

Hong Seng Capital is the money lending arm of Main Market-listed Hong Seng Consolidated Bhd, formerly known as MSCM Holdings Bhd.

Teh, 46, is an independent and non-executive director of Willowglen MSC Bhd, a technological solutions provider.

He started his career as a programmer in Silverlake System Pte Ltd in 1998. Ten years later, he co-founded dJava Factory Sdn Bhd, a boutique software firm.

Between 2016 and 2017, Teh served as the CEO of Scan Associates, a loss-making ICT security service provider that was delisted five years ago.
