KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 15): Tan Sri Rodzali Daud has resigned as Destini Bhd's independent, non-executive chairman after helming the company since May 2015. The resignation took effect today.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, the integrated marine and aviation engineering service company said he will be replaced by one of the group’s largest shareholders and CEO, Datuk Rozabil Abdul Rahman.

Based on the latest filing, Rozabil holds a 6.89% direct interest or 105.13 million shares in the company.

He also holds a 13.94% indirect stake or 212.64 million shares in Destini.

Rozabil, 49, has been redesignated as the group’s executive chairman effective today. Following his redesignation, the group also announced the appointment of Muhayuddin Musa as Destini group's new CEO.

Notably, Muhayuddin, 59, is currently the Independent Non-Executive Director Chairman of Malpac Holdings Bhd.

“He started his career as a Financial Officer with Lembaga Letrik Negara from 1985-1987. Thereafter, he joined the banking industry and has held various positions in both local and foreign banks.

“He joined Computer Forms (M) Berhad as Managing Director/CEO from 1998 to September 2021,” it said.

Shares in Destini ended five sen or 1.96% lower at 25 sen, valuing the company at RM408.18 million. It saw 20.24 million shares changing hands today.
