KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 1): Prolexus Bhd shares jumped as much as 19.57% this morning after it reported an 89% year-on-year increase in net profit for its fourth quarter ended July 31, 2019 (4QFY19).

At 11.13am, Prolexus rose 12.5 sen to 81.5 sen for a market capitalisation of RM147.48 million.

Prolexus' 4QFY19 net profit rose to RM7.22 million from RM794, 000 last year due to higher capacity utilisation from the apparels division, which led to an improvement of the group's profit margin.

Revenue also increased 26.6% to RM111.93 million from RM82.21 million in 4QFY18 due to higher sales orders from the apparels division.

However, in respect of FY19, net profit declined 24.9% year-on-year to RM6.01 million from RM8 million.

Meanwhile, full-year revenue grew 16.85% to RM364.01 million, from RM302.69 million in FY18.
