KUALA LUMPUR (May 6): Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) chief investment officer for private and strategic investments Rizal Rickman Ramli will succeed Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz as the chairman of Sime Darby Property Bhd.

In a bourse filing, Sime Darby Property said 73-year-old Zeti, who was appointed as the group’s non-independent non-executive chairman in July 2018, is retiring from her position effective today.

Rizal, 43,  is currently overseeing three key asset classes — strategic investments, private markets and real estate — at PNB, said Sime Darby Property, after previously holding the roles of chief investment officer for real estate, and executive vice president for property/real estate.

Prior to joining PNB, Rizal was country managing partner for the Boston Consulting Group in Malaysia.
