KUALA LUMPUR (July 14): Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the Malaysian Federal Government's fund allocation for opposition-run states Kelantan, Penang and Selangor had increased annually to ensure the people's welfare were taken care of.

Najib said via www.najibrazak.com today that the Federal Government had between 2011 and 2015, disbursed some RM1.94 billion to Kelantan, while Penang and Selangor received RM950.44 million and RM3.63 billion respectively.

"The total excluded Federal Government projects worth billions of ringgit in these states," Najib said.

He said the Federal Government projects included construction of schools, hospitals, roads and affordable houses.

According to Najib, the Federal Government's fund allocation had taken into account factors, including the respective state's population and road maintenance expenses.
