KUALA LUMPUR (May 24): Homegrown snack food and bakery products maker Oriental Food Industries Holdings Bhd said its premises in Air Keroh Industrial Estate, Melaka is temporarily closed for a week until May 29.
In a stock exchange filing today, the group said it had received a notice from the Ministry of Health (MoH) to shut its premises on May 23.
“We will continue to adhere with our Covid-19 preventive SOPs on a stringent basis including performing regular disinfection exercises with all the necessary precautionary measures strictly in place.
“The safety and well-being of our employees and local community are our utmost priority towards containing the situation and flattening the Covid-19 curve.
“We shall comply with the work instruction issued by MoH accordingly,” it said.
Shares of Oriental Food Industries ended unchanged at 80 sen, valuing the company at RM190.83 million.
