KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 18): Timber products manufacturer NWP Holdings Bhd’s unit has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with EZ One Bikers Sdn Bhd for discussions on a potential collaboration with or acquisition of the company.

EZ One Bikers is a private limited company incorporated in Malaysia which is primarily involved in the business of trading in all kinds of motorcycles, accessories and related services, according to NWP’s filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

NWP said its wholly-owned subsidiary NWP Access Sdn Bhd entered into the MoU with the group yesterday.

It said the MoU shall commence from today, and continue for one year.

“The MoU will not have any effect on the share capital and substantial shareholders’ shareholdings of NWP. The MoU is also not expected to have any material immediate effect on the earnings per share, net assets per share and gearing of the group for the financial year ending Feb 28, 2021.

“The board of directors of NWP, having taken into consideration all aspects of the MoU, is of the opinion that the MoU is in the best interest of the group,” added NWP.

As at 2.53pm, shares in NWP were unchanged at 26 sen, bringing a market capitalisation to RM123.4 million. It saw some 25.96 million shares exchanged hands.
