KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 3): NCT Group of Companies (NCT Group) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Microsoft in Malaysia to support the digitalisation of the upcoming NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP) in Selangor.

In a statement on Monday (Oct 3), the developer said the MOU is set to serve as a starting point for NCT Group to explore Microsoft’s cloud network and advanced data management solutions for NCT and its future tenants at NSIP.

NCT Group said it aims to collaborate with Microsoft to look into the Internet of Things (IoT), data architecture, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI), along with edge computing, all of which will be beneficial to NSIP to drive efficiency and productivity.

NCT Group founder and managing director Datuk Sri Yap Ngan Choy said NSIP is a visionary project, and it is the developer’s commitment to continuously explore new avenues that will add value to its business.

Meanwhile, Microsoft Malaysia managing director K Raman said the company looks forward to working together to accelerate the NSIP project and to realise the opportunities technology can bring for Malaysians and organisations.
