KUALA LUMPUR (July 1): Mudajaya Group Bhd has bagged a RM104 million earthworks contract for a 1,200MW combined cycle gas power plant project in Gurun, Kedah.
The project is targeted to be completed by August 2023, and is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2022 onwards, Mudajaya said in a bourse filing on Friday (July 1).
The latest contract win come just a day after Mudajaya announced the purchase of Real Jade Ltd, which is involved in the manufacturing of cement and clinker in China, at an indicative price of HK$400 million (RM224.32 million), to expand its trading and manufacturing of construction materials business in the country.
Shares in Mudajaya closed unchanged at 23 sen, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM291.99 million.
