KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 27): Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) said it has been granted a lease of 60 years on a rolling basis for the use of land at KL International Airport (KLIA) in Sepang and other airports by the Ministry of Finance (MoF).

This means its lease will be renewed without having to submit land management agreements.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the airport operator said a letter dated Nov 20 was received from MoF on the matter.

MAHB said the new land lease of 60 years will include the remaining existing land lease period of 18 years, while for projects under the KLIA Aeropolis masterplan, the land lease on a rolling basis is granted for a period of 60 years.

"Any further update in respect of any material development will be made from time to time," it added.

MAHB shares rose two sen or 0.38% to close at RM5.30 today, for a market capitalisation of RM8.76 billion.
