KUALA LUMPUR (July 29): Minister of Finance Inc (MoF) has ceased to be a substantial shareholder of Bursa Malaysia Bhd, after it disposed of 86.2 million shares in the stock exchange operator.

According to Bursa's filing today, MoF had disposed of the shares today, via a direct business transaction with Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) (KWAP).

With the acquisition, KWAP now holds some 105.83 million shares, equivalent to a 19.8% stake in Bursa (fundamental: 2.3; valuation: 2.1).

Bursa shares closed unchanged at RM8.08, giving it a market capitalisation of RM4.32 billion.
