KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 8): Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Sdn Bhd (MBM), together with its authorised dealer partner, MBSA Automotive Sdn Bhd, has launched its temporary Mercedes-Benz MBSA Autohaus in Melaka.

In a statement today, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia said the temporary Autohaus, with an investment of RM1.2 million, is part of MBSA's ongoing RM14 million investment for the provision of automotive product and after-sales services in Melaka.

MBM said the Mercedes-Benz MBSA Autohaus is located in a fast-developing part of Melaka with a built-up area of 10,142 square feet and is able to display nine vehicles in its lounge and event floor.

Apart from offering official Mercedes-Benz accessories and merchandise, the Autohaus is said to provide sales and technical services in line with Daimler's global standards, as well as financial services from Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia.

"The launch of Mercedes-Benz MBSA Autohaus is a testament of the successful partnership between MBSA Automotive and Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, and also a commitment to our customers to continue strengthening our touchpoints in the region," said Mercedes-Benz Malaysia president and CEO, Dr Claus Weidner, in the statement.

With a total of RM45 million invested, Mercedes-Benz has five Autohauses in southern region, he added.

To date, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has 31 dealerships nationwide, with the Mercedes-Benz MBSA Autohaus being the only premium authorised dealer in Melaka for the iconic automotive brand.
