KUALA LUMPUR (April 14): Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) said on Thursday (April 14, 2022) its 22nd dividend reinvestment plan (DRP) will be completed on Friday (April 15, 2022) with the listing and quotation of 91.5 million new shares on Bursa Malaysia.
According to Maybank's Bursa filing on Thursday, the DRP is applicable to the group's second interim dividend for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2021 (FY21).
Maybank said the 91.5 million new shares were issued at RM8.28 each.
With the inclusion of the 91.5 million new shares, Maybank's latest reported number of issued shares is 11.97 billion, according to the group.
For FY21, Maybank declared total dividends of 58 sen a share compared to 52 sen a share in FY20.
At 5pm on Thursday, Maybank’s share price closed down one sen or 0.11% at RM8.83, which values the group at about RM105.7 billion.
