KUALA LUMPUR (May 17): Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) has revised its daily branch operating hours starting today to 9:30am to 1pm in line with Malaysia’s Covid-19 pandemic-driven movement control order (MCO) to curb the outbreak.

In a Twitter update, Maybank said that during the MCO, the bank’s self-service terminals will operate from 6am to 10pm daily in line with the government’s standard operating procedure.

"In light of the nationwide MCO, our branch operating hours will be temporarily revised to 9.30am-1pm, starting May 17, 2021, to ensure our customers’ and employees’ safety. 

"We encourage you (customers) to do all your essential banking via our digital banking platforms from the safety of your home,” Maybank said.

On Bursa Malaysia today, Maybank’s share price rose 11 sen or 1.34% at 10:10am to RM8.32 for a market value of about RM94.93 billion.

Maybank has 11.41 billion issued shares, according to its latest annual report.
