KUALA LUMPUR (June 7): Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba said today Malaysia had delivered 3.57 million Covid-19 vaccine shots to individuals as at yesterday (June 6) after an additional 81,183 vaccine doses were administered.

Citing data from the country's Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF), Dr Adham said today via Twitter that out of the 3.57 million Covid-19 vaccine shots, 2.44 million individuals received their first dose while 1.13 million persons received their second dose.

Out of the 81,183 vaccine doses administered yesterday, Dr Adham said today 79,620 individuals received their first dose while 1,563 persons obtained their second dose.

Cumulatively among states and federal territories, Kuala Lumpur has so far delivered the highest number of Covid-19 vaccine shots at 508,358, followed by Selangor at 398,697, according to Dr Adham.

Kuala Lumpur's 508,358 vaccine shots involved 406,536 individuals who received their first dose and 101,822 persons who obtained their second dose.

According to the Department of Statistics Malaysia's (DOSM) website, the country's population stood at about 32.77 million people as of today.

Globally, the world population stood at around 7.75 billion people, according to the DOSM.
