KUALA LUMPUR (June 5): Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd's (MAHB) shares fell as much as 8.41% or 45 sen to a low of RM5.35 in the morning session today, after the airport operator was booted out of the FBM KLCI yesterday.

At the midday break today, MAHB pared its losses and was down 0.52% or three sen to RM5.77, valuing it at RM9.57 billion.

Year to date, the stock has fallen 27% from RM7.60 on Dec 31, 2019.

On a semi-annual review of the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Index Series yesterday, MAHB and AMMB Holdings Bhd were removed from the list of the 30 component stocks in the benchmark index.

As a result, Telekom Malaysia and KLCC Prop & REIT — Stapled Sec (KLCCP) replaced MAHB and AMMB in the benchmark index.
