KUALA LUMPUR (Mar 5): Lembaga Tabung Haji (LTH) has emerged as a substantial shareholder in lifestyle property developer Eastern & Oriental Bhd (E&O) with a 5.13% stake.
A filing with Bursa Malaysia today showed the pilgrim fund acquired 1 million shares on Monday, bringing its stakeholding to 62.67 million shares or a 5.13% stake.
LTH's emergence came after the cessation of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) as a substantial shareholder two days ago.
The EPF had disposed some 675,000 shares on Feb 26, trimming its stake to 4.99% or 61.11 million shares.
E&O shares closed unchanged at RM2.16 today, giving it a market capitalisation of RM2.64 billion.
