KUALA LUMPUR (March 30): Konsortium Transnasional Bhd (KTB) has secured a second construction contract from Probil Industries (M) Sdn Bhd, worth RM139.88 million this time.

To recap, KTB won a contraction contract from Probil worth RM98.05 million on Feb 28, 2022. The works include the building of 572 units houses in Desa 1, 2, 3 and 4.

In a bourse filing on Wednesday (March 30), KTB said its wholly-owned subsidiary Transnational Builder Sdn Bhd has received an additional Letter of Award from Probil for the supply of all plant, materials, tools, equipment, temporary works, labour and supervision necessary for the construction and completion of the job.

The scope of work consists of building 561 units houses and shops in Desa 5, 6, 7,8, local infrastructure works and any other works as stipulated in the tender drawings and documents.

The works shall be completed within 36 months.

KTB expects the latest contract to have a positive contribution to the group’s earnings per share, net assets per share and gearing for the financial year ending December 31, 2024, and onwards.

KTB shares slipped 0.5 sen or 2.33% to close at 21 sen on Wednesday (March 30), giving the bus operator a market capitalisation of RM99 million.
