KUALA LUMPUR (April 15): Sarawak-based KKB Engineering Bhd announced today its subsidiary, KKB Industries (Sabah) Sdn Bhd, has been awarded two contracts worth a combined sum of RM17.75 million.

In an exchange filing today, KKB said the first contract was a tender awarded by Syarikat SESCO Bhd for the annual supply and delivery of steel products for a contract duration of one year.

The second contract was a purchase order from Leadshine Sdn Bhd, for the supply and delivery of concrete-lined mild steel pipes, over a period of 10 months.

KKB said the contracts are expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2019.

Shares in KKB, up nearly 40% year-to-date, finished three sen or 2.4% lower today at RM1.22, bringing it a market capitalisation of RM314.51 million.
