KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 7): Ipmuda Bhd’s share price hit limit-up in afternoon trade today after rising 30 sen or 102% to 59.5 sen following the company’s announcement last Friday that its wholly-owned subsidiary Ipmuda Rensol Sdn Bhd executed an RM78 million engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract for the planned construction of a solar-based electricity generation facility in Marang, Terengganu.

As at 3.32pm today, Ipmuda had seen some two million shares traded. The stock was among Bursa Malaysia's top gainers.

At 59.5 sen, Ipmuda was valued at some RM43.12 million. 

Last Friday, Ipmuda said Ipmuda Rensol had executed the EPCC contract with Coara Marang Sdn Bhd.

Ipmuda said the latest commencement date of the project is Nov 15, 2020, while the commercial operation date falls on Nov 1, 2021.
