DENPASAR (March 1): Indonesian police will return to Jho Low's yacht Equanimity, which has been impounded off Bali, to search for evidence of alleged money-laundering activities.

According to Indonesian news website detik.com, the police will search for evidence of international money laundering activities. The US Federal Bureau of Investigation will also be involved in the probe.

Earlier today, detik.com reported that Indonesian police were examining documents seized from the US$250 million superyacht yesterday.

Detik.com had reported yesterday that Indonesian police and several  FBI agents spent about six hours on the yacht looking for evidence. The enforcement officers boarded the Equanimity at about 1.30pm and only left after sunset.

The news portal said the officers were spotted carrying about a dozen black briefcases and bags when they left.

This morning, Indonesian police Deputy Director of Economic and Special Crimes Daniel Silitonga said the police are currently identifying the main suspect before deciding whether to proceed further according to provisions of Indonesia's anti-money laundering laws.

"We are investigating, evaluating the data and documents obtained. We will identify the suspect after we have completed our investigations," Silitonga was quoted by detik.com as saying.

He said the police are ready to press charges if they have enough evidence.
