KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 4): Impiana Hotels Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary Impiana Hotels & Resorts Management Sdn Bhd (IHRM) has a contract from Petronas Management Training Sdn Bhd for the provision of hospitality management services.

The contract entails the provision of services to manage the operational matters of Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas)’s new campus in Bangi, Selangor, said Impiana.

“This will allow Petronas to bring a premium hospitality experience into Petronas Leadership Centre’s learning facilities which is the only leadership centre in Malaysia that is catered for approximately 50,000 employees globally,” the group added.

Impiana said the contract period will be for five years starting Aug 1, with the scope of works to include general and administrative matters, food and beverage services, housekeeping, room and banqueting services, finance and human resources management as well as other hospitality works.

However, the value of the contract was not disclosed.

Impiana said IHRM has been the backbone of the group, and that it excels in hospitality operations and management services, currently serving 10 hotels across Asia.

“Together with Petronas Management Training, we look forward to build a conducive learning environment and serve the new campus with our highly personalized services embedded in our corporate culture by being responsible, conscientious, trustworthy and dependable," said Impiana executive chairman Datuk Seri Ismail @ Farouk Abdullah. 

Impiana’s share price closed unchanged at five sen, giving a market capitalisation of RM62.81 million.
