KUALA LUMPUR (March 5): Hong Leong Asset Management Bhd (HLAM) has declared RM690.26 million in income distributions for 18 funds, over the period of Jan 1 to Dec 31, 2019.

In a statement today, HLAM chief executive officer Hoo See Kheng said the fund manager will continue its commitment to its unitholders to meet the funds’ respective objectives and deliver returns.

“The current interest rate environment will remain accommodative, supporting the growth of the local market. Investors will continue seeking for higher-yielding investments in a low interest rate environment.

“Despite the current market concerns, our fund managers are optimistic over the medium- to long-term growth. We strive to deliver capital growth and income for our funds,” said Hoo.

The top yielding fund was the Hong Leong Penny Stock Fund, with an 18.38% one-year distribution yield, followed by the Hong Leong Growth Fund (11.69%), Hong Leong Consumer Products Sector Fund (11.22%), Hong Leong Dana Makmur (11.1%) and Hong Leong Balanced Fund (10.81%).

Meanwhile, Hong Leong Dana Maa’rof saw a distribution yield of 7.75%, while Hong Leong Dividend Fund and Hong Leong Regular Income Fund recorded yields of 6.88% and 4.18% respectively.
