KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 4): Fajarbaru Builder Group Bhd (FBG) announced it has been awarded a contract worth RM45.1 million by the East Coast Economic Region Development Council, for package 2 of the construction of the KPC Port Link Road in Kuantan Port City, Pahang Darul Makmur.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, FBG said the construction duration spans 66 weeks from Nov 15, 2014, and is for the main access road, primary infrastructure and utilities for the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP) development.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the FBG Group for the financial years ending Jun 30,2015 (FY15) and Jun 30, 2016,” the filing reads.

FBG had recently released its FY14 audited financial results, posting a net profit of RM2.92 million, about 30% lower than RM4.17 million last year.
