KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 17): Eversendai Corp Bhd's subsidiary has secured RM330 million worth of projects in India.

In a statement today, Eversendai said with the new wins, its total contract wins to-date in 2020 amount to RM653 million, bringing its order book to approximately RM2.2 billion.

Eversendai said with a healthy order book in 2020, it was recently awarded the DLF Downtown IT Park project in Tharamani, Chennai, by DLF Info Park Developers (Chennai) Ltd.

Eversendai said securing this contract was a major achievement and would further accelerate its growth momentum.

The group said this would also improve its chance to secure additional phases of future developments in the same project site.

Eversendai said the DLF Downtown IT Park project consists of two commercial towers constructed using composite structures in fast track mode and is expected to be completed in a record time of 16 months.

This is the second job awarded by DLF to Eversendai.

Eversendai executive chairman Tan Sri AK Nathan said this was a highly anticipated project in India, and it reaffirmed the group's continued success in winning landmark projects based on its reputation.

“It is also a breakthrough for Eversendai in India as it gives us the opportunity to strategically position ourselves for future contracts with DLF Ltd, India’s largest real estate developer,” he said.

Nathan said Eversendai’s operations in India contributes 14% of the group’s revenue.

“We are very confident of achieving more project wins and profit returns going forward. Eversendai’s never-give-up attitude along with [its] persistence and dedication is eventually paying off as many new exciting opportunities are in the pipeline,” he said.

At the midday break, Eversendai shares fell 2.74% or 1 sen to 35.5 sen, valuing the group at RM277.29 million.
