KUALA LUMPUR (June 10): Euro Holdings Bhd has been served with an unusual market activity query by Bursa Malaysia, following the sharp rise in its share price recently.

Via a bourse filing, Bursa Malaysia asked whether there have been any corporate developments that were not previously announced, and if there is a development to explain what the development is.

"Whether there is any rumour or report concerning the business and affairs of the group that may account for the trading activity and in this respect, you are required to comply with Paragraphs 9.09 and 9.10 of Bursa Securities LR;      

"Whether you are aware of any other possible explanation to account for the trading activity; and      

"Whether you are in compliance with the Bursa Securities LR, in particular Paragraph 9.03 of the Bursa Securities LR on immediate disclosure obligations," the local bourse queried.

As of noon market close, Euro's shares were up by 1.45% or two sen at RM1.40 per share, valuing it at some RM374.22 million.

The office furniture manufacturer is currently at an all-time high, having skyrocketed year to date from 17 sen on Dec 31, 2019.
