KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 20): Cosmetics distributor Esthetics International Group Bhd announced today on having inked an agreement that gives it an exclusive distribution right for Physicians Formula’s products.

According to Esthetics’s (fundamental: 2.5; valuation: 2.4) filing with Bursa Malaysia today, its wholly owned subsidiary EIG Pharma Asia Sdn Bhd has signed a distributor agreement with US-based Physicians Formula Inc to distribute the latter’s products in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Brunei, Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos, together with a first right of refusal for Thailand.

Esthetics said this agreement will enable it to further leverage on its fast moving consumer goods distribution network, and expand its product portfolio to include the distribution of cosmetics through the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) channel.

The agreement will last for 10 years from Jan 1 this year to Dec 31, 2024, with the option to renew for another 10 years.

Esthetics’ share was not traded today and so closed unchanged at RM1.05, with a market capitalisation of RM194.78 million.
