Eastern & Oriental Bhd (E&O) will be launching The Conlay in Kuala Lumpur in 2Q2020. It is currently opened for registration and 297 units will be soft-launched next month. The project is a joint venture between E&O and Mitsui Fudosan, a real estate developer in Japan.

Located on a 1.44-acre freehold land at the intersection of Jalan Conlay and Jalan Kia Peng, the project has a gross development value of RM968 million. It will comprise a 52-storey tower of serviced apartments with 491 units in total, and is scheduled for completion 1Q2024.

The units will feature 1 to 3-bedroom layouts, with built-ups of 732 to 1,335 sq ft. Selling prices start at RM1.46 million. All partially furnished units will be fitted with wardrobes, kitchen cabinets and appliances.

The project is targeted at both investors and owner-occupiers. “This will be suitable for those who prefer to own a luxury property in the city centre,” says group senior general manager of marketing and sales Wayne Wong.

“[For The Conlay,] we have collaborated with Kerry Hill Architects Pte Ltd from Singapore and GDP Architects Sdn Bhd from Malaysia to come up with a unique design that encapsulates the neighbourhood’s rich and vibrant heritage while ensuring [the project] becomes a prominent landmark within the city centre,” says Wong.

“This contemporary and tropical tower will boast a striking architectural form that blends modernity, elegance and luxury. The Conlay’s distinctive fine-lined, picture-framed façade is juxtaposed against the iconic city skyline,” he adds.

This also marks the opening of E&O’s new property gallery in Jalan Tun Razak on Sept 26. The 14,935 sq ft gallery is just a stone’s throw from Suria KLCC and Menara Kuala Lumpur, as well as Dua Residency — one of the group’s prominent projects.

Among the facilities available are a heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, gymnasium, multipurpose lounge, meeting room, music room, billiard room and multimedia room. The maintenance fee is 96 sen psf per month.

The project is close to the upcoming Conlay mass rapid transit station, an underground station of the Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya Line (SSP Line), which is due to be operational 2022.

Nearamenities include Lot 10 shopping centre, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Sungei Wang Plaza, DoubleTree Hilton Kuala Lumpur, Tsun Jin High School and SJK(C) Nan Kai.
