KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 8): Small-cap IT firm Edaran Bhd said it has bagged a contract worth RM41.34 million to undertake hardware and server software maintenance work for the Customs Department.

The company said the maintenance work is for the Customs information system (SMK), sales and service tax system (MySST) and tourism tax system (My TTX), for a one-year period from Sept 1, 2021.

“Proceeds from the contract shall contribute towards the earnings of Edaran Group for the financial year ending June 30, 2022,” it said in a bourse filing.

This is the first contract announced by Edaran in nearly two years.

In December 2019, Edaran said the Customs Department had accepted its proposal to undertake similar maintenance works for SMK for a two-year period from Sept 2019, with a contract value of RM56.71 million.

Shares of Edaran closed half a sen or 0.73% higher at 69 sen, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM41.4 million.
