KUALA LUMPUR (April 6):  Daya Materials Bhd unit has bagged a one-year extension for the maintenance of air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation at the Petronas Twin Towers, Masjid Asy-Syakirin, Kompleks Dayabumi and Petrosains.

In a bourse filing today, the group said its 50.1%-owned unit Daya OCI Sdn Bhd (DOCI) has been granted the one-year extension by KLCC Urusharta Sdn Bhd (KUSB) for a total contract sum of RM4.35 million.

The extension is effective from Jan 1, 2021 to Dec 31,2021, and comes with another extension option of one-plus-one-year.

DOCI first secured the contract, originally with a three-year tenure, on Jan 1, 2018.

Shares in Daya Materials finished 33.33% or half a sen higher at two sen today, valuing it at RM40.86 million. It saw 2.13 million shares traded.
