KUALA LUMPUR (April 9): Selangor recorded the highest number of Covid-19 cases at 1,078 as of noon yesterday (April 8) followed by Kuala Lumpur, where 685 individuals were infected, according to the Health Ministry’s latest infographic today on the spread of the pandemic in Malaysia.

The ministry said today that there were 4,119 Covid-19 cases nationwide as at noon yesterday. It also said there were 24 red zones, which represent districts with 41 cases and above.

Of the 24 red zones, five are in Selangor while four are in Kuala Lumpur. 

Elsewhere, Pahang now has two after the ministry categorised Kuantan as a red zone after it registered 43 Covid-19 cases. The other red zone in Pahang is Jerantut, which recorded 61 cases.
