KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 14): Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia Bhd topped the list of gainers in morning trade on Bursa Malaysia today, rising by as much as 90 sen or 4.04% to RM23.18.

At 9.49am, the stock had pared its gains to settle at RM22.94, still 66 sen or 2.96% higher.

Last month, Carlsberg reported a net profit of RM40.63 million for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2020 (3QFY20), about three times the RM10.65 million it made in 2QFY20, as the brewer's sales rebounded following the easing of movement restrictions in Malaysia, Singapore and Sri Lanka, where it operates in.

Revenue for 3QFY20 grew 51.5% quarter-on-quarter (q-o-q) to RM435.3 million from RM287.27 million.
