KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 20): Carimin Petroleum Bhd has declared a special dividend of five sen for the financial year ended June 30, 2021 (FY21) to reward its shareholders.

According to its filing with the bourse, the group’s shares will trade ex-dividend on Nov 3, and the dividend will be paid on Nov 17.

Coupled with the first and second interim dividends of 0.5 sen each, Carimin’s total payout for FY21 will be six sen.

In a separate filing, the group said it intends to seek its shareholders’ approval on the proposed amendments to the constitution of the company at the forthcoming ninth annual general meeting.

“The proposed amendments are primarily to align the company’s constitution with the Companies (Amendment) Act 2019 which came into effect on Jan 15, 2020 in relation to the alteration of share capital and to enhance administrative efficiency.

“The details of the proposed amendments will be announced and published on the company’s website in due course,” said Carimin.

Carimin’s share price fell one sen or 1.3% to close at 75.5 sen, giving a market capitalisation of RM176.58 million.
